I forgot to report on my weigh in. I am down to 126 lbs this week. That's a 2 lb weight loss since I started this program. Of course I wish I dropped more weight, but at least I know this is real weight loss and not water weight. I am pretty sure I've gained some muscles, which in the long run will help burn my fat. I'm feeling pretty good at Day 17. Workouts are still intense, as they should be. The soreness isn't as bad as week 1, but I'm still getting real good workout.

Day 17
I was really fighting my laziness hard today. I even thought about doing Shoulders & Arms tomorrow with Yoga X. Boy would that have been a long work out!! 60 min of Shoulders & Arms, 16 min of Ab Ripper X and 90 min of Yoga X in one day? No thanks!! I'm glad I fought and won over my laziness. It wasn't so bad after I was done. I can definitely feel myself getting stronger! Even with Ab Ripper X, I'm more able to follow along. Next step would be to fix the forms, but I'm going to work on doing all the required reps first. That's the cool thing about this program, there's always room for improvement!
Day 16
Today was Cardio X day but I decided to skip the video to run 5.5 miles on the treadmill. Just another excuse to use my Nike+. I haven't ran long distance in a while so I was a lot slower than before. It was a great and workout and I was really tired! I know it was more intense than Cardio X so I don't feel bad for skipping Cardio X.

Day 15
It's the beginning of week three. I can't believe I made it this far! With the rest day yesterday, one would think that I would be well rested and ready to workout again. However that was not the case. Started to feel lazy again. I don't plan on taking anymore rest days if I can help it. I didn't get home until 4:30am and had to get up early for work the next day. That could be why my energy is low. I really want to go out for another run tomorrow, either before or after cardio x. Feels nice after doing Core Synergistics today. I still can't keep up 100% but I do feel stronger and sweat a lot! Better get to bed "earlier" tonight so I won't be so tired tomorrow.
I forgot to weight in today, so I'll be sure to do that tomorrow morning.
Day 14
Due to being out of town, I decided to take the rest day instead of doing X Stretch. I missed my workout but it is also nice to rest. All soreness are gone by now.
Day 13
I decided to forgo Kenpo today and do a 3 mile jog outside. I got the new Nike+ and was itching to try it out. Because of time constraint, I wasn't able to do both Kenpo and running. On a normal weekend, it's easily doable. I was sluggish during the jog but that's probably due to the fact that I haven't eaten anything before the jog.
Day 11 & 12
Did legs and back today. That's too bad that I still can't even do one pull up. My goal by the end of P90x is to do at least 2 pull ups. Doesn't sound like a lot but I've never been able to do any my whole life! The soreness is gone now. I'm still getting intense workouts and sweating a lot, but the next day soreness doesn't come anymore. Maybe I have adjusted...
I forgot to blog about Day 11 Yoga X. Well, yoga is still very tough but I'm slowly getting use to it. it's tough because it's 90 minutes and it effects me mentally. I'm already dreading week 4 when it's Yoga X twice a week.

Day 10
Today, I completed Arms & Shoulders and Ab Ripper X. I'm starting to get use to the workouts. I'm still not able to keep up with them all the time, but more so than last week. I can also say that the soreness are gone now. I know I'm still getting a good workout, so maybe it's my body adjusting to the workouts. I think I need to get a few more dumbbells. A pair of 5 lbs and 10 lbs to compliment the 8 lbs that I have. Either that, or get 2 more bands. 8 is a good weight for me, but there are some exercises where I feel it's too heavy, mostly any shoulder fly exercises. At the same time, 8 is starting to be a light for my bicep curls. Ab Ripper X is still tough as usual, but I'm able to keep up more and more as I do it.
Once again, failed on my diet. Overeating is just too easy to do. I had a full lunch and dinner and even after 2 hours after dinner, I was still too full to workout. I have to make that adjustment because I don't like working out too late. I'm going to do Yoga X tomorrow before dinner.
I got my Nike+ and eager to start using it. Tomorrow, I also plan to calibrate my sensor and try it out on Friday. I may replace a Kenpo session with some running. We'll see.

Day 9
Today was an "easier" day because it's Cardio X and it's "only" 43 minutes. It's nice to have a less intense workout when you're starting to feel lazy about working out. I've definitely had thoughts in my head about taking a break but I'm glad I overcame that thought. I think my biggest form of disappointment is my diet. I'm not being good about it and for some reason it makes me less motivated to workout. If I fail at the diet part, I shouldn't let that effect my exercise. After I was done doing Cardio X and showered....felt sooo good! That's what I have to remind myself.
Tomorrow is Arms & Shoulders and Ab Ripper X. It'll be intense but I'm pumped again because I feel great after this last workout!!

Day 8
I woke up this morning with sore quads. Are you getting the pattern here? Just soreness everyday but in different areas each day. I don't know how I feel starting week 2. I'm hoping I don't get "bored" and quit. Or get discourage because I'm so impatient and wanting to see changes immediately. Well, I don't know if I see any changes, but I do feel better. That's what I'll go by as my motivation to continue. I don't think I'm losing as much weight because #1 I'm doing more strength training and #2 my diet hasn't been the greatest.
Today I had lots of craving. I always get that when I start to restrict myself. I'm not really sure I will overcome this, but I won't let this be an obstacle for my workout. I've been having problems with a couple of the DVDs being damaged. I think I may have bought a pirated version. You get what you pay for right? It's so frustrating when it crashes your computer in middle of a workout.
Core Synergistics was great again. It's still tough to keep up 100% but I have to remind myself that I'm out of shape and this is only my 2nd week. Don't be so hard on myself. Once again, I feel great after the workout. It'll be interesting to see what part of my muscles are sore tomorrow. =P

Day 7
Just completed my first week of P90x with the last exercise: X Stretch. Even though it's optional, I'm glad I did it. I didn't think it was going to be one hour though. However it was nice to stretch out every part of the body that I worked out the entire week. I think it was needed. It felt really nice after I was done. I also went out for a 3.2 mile jog before the stretch. It was more tough than I imagined, especially the last part of the loop where it's uphill. I do like the route though so I plan on running it more. I haven't been jogging nearly as much as I want to since I started doing P90x, but I'll make P90x my main priority for now and try to squeeze a jog here or there.
Today is also the big weigh in and I was a bit disappointed because I gained a pound. I'm now 128. I shouldn't be too surprised because I was not watching my diet whatsoever. Thinking that I'm doing some intense workouts, I can ignore that part. So wrong! Two free lunch meals at work and a potluck later...(not to mention the yummy dinners hubby cooks for me)...I really shouldn't have expected to lose any weight. Some may say that it's muscle weight, but I really think it's the diet. Even if I gained muscles, I should be dropping fat that the same time. Regardless, I still feel good and now I know what I needed to do. 83 more days to go!!!

Day 6
Once again, woke up sore. New sore spots are my obliques. My hip flexers were really sore from Yoga X. Not that I'm complaining, but I do wonder how many days in a row I will feel sore. I'm actually hoping for everyday that I'm on this program.
Today was Kenpo X and I gotta say I'm glad it's on Day 6. Right when I'm starting to feel burnt out, the next workout happens to be the "easiest" one. Maybe it's my taekwondo background, but I was able to keep up with every move. I still sweat a lot though. I like it, it's fun and a great way to end the week of workouts. Tomorrow is suppose to be a rest day, or do X Stretch. I checked and it's also an hour. Most likely I'll do it. I also plan on going out for a 3 mile jog and if the weather is nice, try to hit the pool for the last day of the season. :)
Oh yeah, I was horrible with my diet today. Went to a potluck lunch and ate so much yummy food!! Ok, I think I really have to re-evaluate my diet for week 2. I hate to see slow or no results due to my poor diet.

Day 5
Woke up this morning feeling sore as usual, which means I worked hard the day before. I like that feeling. I even feel a bit of soreness in the ab area from the Yoga. I'm sure it was from those hold poses where I have my arms and feet up in the air and holding it. My arms are really sore and so are my upper hamstrings. I'm pretty sure it's all from yoga.
Today is Legs & Back and Ab Ripper X.
Another very intense workout. I think I'm starting to feel burnt out. The legs & back workouts were ok (besides the stupid DVD crashing on me towards the end), but ab ripper x was so much tougher this time around. I could barely keep up! I thought about quitting a few times but still kept with it. I'm just glad I finished both. Still feels great after completion though, that is what is keeping me motivated.

Day 4
That is odd. I am sore from the Arms and Shoulders exercises I did yesterday, but my abs and core isn't even sore one bit. I was quite sure I worked them out good. I must be doing something wrong. Maybe it takes another day to kick in? If not, I will have to keep along more closely the next time I do Ab Ripper X, which will be tomorrow. The soreness of the leg and butt are wearing off. I feel the most soreness today from my biceps and parts of the chest. The shoulders and triceps are a little bit sore, but not too bad.
It's Yoga X today. I thought about going to Dog Down yoga on my Yoga X days. it's virtually the same thing except more intense due to the hot tempature. Looks like I'll stick to the DVD tonight because I have to run some errands with the hubby after work.
Free lunch at work today. I think I ate more than I should in the dessert area. Otherwise I ate mostly fruit and grilled veggies. I also had two pieces of quesedilla too.
Man, you don't know how many times I thought about quiting in middle of the yoga x workout. I kept thinking...90 minutes??! But I made it through and glad I did. I shouldn't start my workouts so late (11pm). The vinyassa parts were pretty intense, which was during the first 45 minutes. The balance and stretch were not so bad.
Day 3
Just completed Day 3's workout: Shoulders & Arms and Ab Ripper X. I'm still sore from the previous day workouts. I'm pretty sure tomorrow will be another sore day. Today's workout was great and very intense. I was out of gas by the end of Ab Ripper X. Even though I haven't been able to keep along w/ the people in the DVD, I still remember it's a big improvement from the very first time I tried it out. The shoulders, biceps and triceps workouts were simple but very effective. I'm loving this program. I know it's only Day 3, but I'm very excited about it. Mainly from how I feel afterwards, it's worth the pain during the workout. Today's workout was about 1 hour and 16 minutes. Looking forward to tomorrow!
Diet: Ate 3 meals with one snack. We'll see how things go the first week and I will try to tweek the diet as needed.

Day 2
It's Day 2 and I'm super sore!! My back, my thighs but mainly my butt!! I'm not complaining though, it's the "good" kind of pain. ;) I really must be out of shape.
I look forward to tonight's workout: Cardio X
I won't be logging in my food anymore, it's too time consuming and it makes me think about food more...which makes me eat. I'm not going to follow the P90x diet to the T. I'm just going to eat 5 smaller meals a day, which consists of fruit, veggies, dairy, protien and grain. (Idea from the 5 factor diet) Basically try to eat the good stuff...and the other stuff in moderation.
I'll also be weighing myself only once a week, every Sunday.
So I did Cardio X and felt great afterwards. It wasn't as long as I thought: 45 min with 10 min of warm-up/cool down. It was tough because I'm still sore from the workout the day before, but I manage to follow along as much as possible. All in all, a good workout.

Day 1
It's Labor Day and I didn't get out of bed until 12:30pm. However that isn't going to stop me from getting started with my P90x program. I weighed in right after I woke up at 127 lbs. (standing at 5'4)
I was going to go for a 3 mile jog outside before I start the program but it started raining outside. I may try again later or hit the treadmill.
I just completed my first workout: Core Synergistic. It's definitely much harder than I expected and I realized that I'm totally out of shape. I'm glad I stuck through it and hopefully by day 90, I can follow along move by move.
I also got in a 30 min jog on the treadmill. Looks like it's going to rain this whole week. No outdoor running until next weekend. Today was a good workout day. The plan is to keep this up!!

Night Before My Journey
I have decided to start the P90x tomorrow - Labor Day. I've tried the P90x for a week in June and really liked it. Why did I stop? I got married and just got busy. Now that things has calmed down in our lives, I think it's time to re-focus again. I'm determined to complete the 90 days. That is why I'm blogging it, so I will hold myself accountable and whoever reads this will also hold me accountable. I plan on doing the lean version, which consists of more cardio and a little lesser weight training. I'm not looking to become muscular, just want to drop weight and be toned. Let this journey begin!!!!!
